Looking at a beautiful sunrise over the mountains, I was (and always will be) astonished by God's wonderful creations. How great is our God, indeed. Seeing this tree, I realized something - I'm like this tree in the photo. We just had our wedding at that time so as the bride, I think I was the center of the universe (center of my own universe, that is).
A line from Our Daily Bread booklet struck me - "One of the lies we sometimes choose to believe is that we, not God, are the center of the universe." This made me realize that I should be conscious in the way I think - God should be the center of my life, not myself. I should not be self-entitled. Just like the sun which is the center of the solar system, God is the most important one. It's not about me. Without Him, I am nothing. He gives me life, just like the sun to this tree.
Quoting some lines in Our Daily Bread booklet, "We think we will be carefree and happy only when we reorder the world according to our desires... The best kind of happiness comes from the freedom we find when we accept the truth that Jesus is the way to a full and satisfying life."
We should always dedicate ourselves to Him and keep Him at the center of our lives.
My prayer: Lord God, all praises to You and You alone. Thank You very much for all the graces and the blessings You have showered upon my family and me. Thank You for continuously enlightening me and making me realize my wrongdoings. Please forgive me for being self-centered and self-entitled. Please continue to change me daily that I may be more like Jesus every day. Please continue to guide my path as I walk through life. In Jesus' name. Amen!
